Marty: deleted scene from FAIRY TALE LIES by DK Marie.
Jacob
wanted time to stop, allowing the afternoon to last forever. They could've laid
entangled and sated in each other's arms, enjoying the languid feeling that
comes after spectacular sex.
A
phone began buzzing nearby, starting the hand of time ticking. He sat up,
trying to figure out if it was his phone or Greta's.
As
if reading his mind, she said. "It's mine. Where'd you set my purse?"
He
couldn't remember. At the time he'd had more important things on his mind. When
it started making noise again, he traced it to the floor. Reaching to grab the purse, he heard her
gasp.
She
was looking at his shoulder wide-eyed. He twisted, noticing the light bite mark
she'd left on him.
"Um,
sorry. The storm or something must have made me a little crazy…" She
mumbled.
She
appeared embarrassed, but the sight of her desire on his body made him want her
all over again.
Rolling
back to her, purse in hand, he pulled her closer for a kiss. "I hope the
weather has nothing to do with it. Instead, it's what happens when we're
together. I'd be honored to have my body covered in marks from your
pleasure."
Her
cheeks flushed a deeper scarlet, but she also looked pleased and rewarded him
with a smoldering kiss. Until her damn
phone started chirping again.
He
reluctantly pulled away, handing the phone to her. "Better see who it is,
they really want to talk to you."
The
color drained from her face as she scrolled through the messages. "Oh,
hell," she whispered.
"Everything
ok?" He asked.
"No.
My mother's home. She wants to know where I'm at. Why I'm not with the
movers."
"Well,
you are with one of them."
She
didn't even crack a smile. If anything, she turned a little green.
"Should
I take off?"
"Sorry,
but would you mind? It would cause us both problems if she found us like
this." Greta gestured to the rumpled sheets and scatted clothes.
Her
immediate dismissal hurt a little, but he also got it. He's fairly certain if
her mother found them naked in bed, it probably wouldn't bode well for his
uncle's business. He got up, grabbing his slacks.
"No
problem. Write down your number. I'll put mine in your phone." He said.
She
handed over her the cell, and just as he'd finished programming his number
another text came through. He handed it back and headed to the kitchen to
retrieve his shirt and shoes.
She followed
behind less than a minute later, already dressed, and looking slightly
panicked.
She
handed him a slip of paper. "It's my number. My mother is on the way here.
Now. Would you please go out the side? Hopefully she won't run into you."
He
slid the paper into a pocket and pulled her in for a quick kiss. She responded,
but most of the warmth was gone. He
slipped out the side door, feeling like a fucking deviant.
Starting
up the path towards the main house, he hoped to have a couple of minutes to get
his head on straight before running into his uncle.
No
such luck. Marty was waiting and looked ready to kill.
"Where
the hell have you been?" He spat.
Jacob
shrugged and tried to look innocent. "Eating lunch."
"Lunch
my ass. You've been gone for almost two hours, and I saw you striding out the
backdoor of that house!"
Shit.
"We
had to eat somewhere."
"Something
wrong with the main house?" Marty looked Jacob up and down. "And does
lunch usually leave you with bedhead and wrinkled clothes?"
"Just
leave it alone," Jacob mumbled, stepping around his uncle. "It has
nothing to do with you."
"The
hell it doesn't! You not keeping it in
your pants could cost me my livelihood!"
"What're
you talking about?" Jacob tried to swallow his annoyance. First Greta
practically shoves him out the door, and now Marty. "I'm not messing
around with someone's virginal teenage daughter. Greta and I are adults, so
it's not anyone's business but our own."
"Don't
be an asshole. You're on my clock. And I've heard about that woman's parents.
They're pricks. You think they'll give a shit you're both adults?"
What
little euphoria left from his encounter with Greta faded, and guilt crept in.
The thought of his impulsive actions putting his uncle's livelihood in danger
was like a bucket of ice water. "Shit, I'm sorry, Marty. I didn't plan for
anything to happen. It just did."
It
was true he didn't plan for anything to happen, but if he were completely
honest, he'd wanted something to happen since first laying eyes on Greta. Her
odd mixture of conservativeness and sensuality woke something inside him that
had long been dormant. His time with her made him feel more alive than he had
in a very long time.
Marty's
jaw clenched so tight he'd probably cracked a couple of teeth. "That's
your excuse? It just happened! Tell that to my kids when we're living off food
stamps and welfare!"
"Oh
come on, don't be so dramatic. Her parents aren't going to find out. I'm sure
she isn't planning on telling her parents what we were doing."
Surprisingly
that seemed to calm Marty a little. "Maybe your right. You're probably
just a little fun from the wrong side of the tracks. Her dirty little secret.
Let's hope that's the case."
"Let's
hope…," Jacob muttered, walking towards the house. That wasn't what he hoped, but had a feeling
it was the case.
FAIRY TALE LIES IS NOW AVAILABLE!
She's sweet. He’s sexy. Together they're scorching sensuality.
Greta and Jacob aren’t looking for love, but when they meet, their attraction is white hot, melting away all self-restraint.
Both times.
The first is a stormy spring afternoon, spent indulging in each other’s bodies. When they’re abruptly interrupted, they part ways convinced they’re nothing more than an erotic chapter in the other’s life.
However, when they unexpectedly meet again, Jacob isn’t willing to let Greta slip away this time. He convinces her to give them a chance.
Lust turns to love, but resentments fester. Jacob’s convinced Greta will never see him as anything more than a blue-collar nobody. A temporary indulgence. Greta fears she isn’t strong enough to stand against both her family’s scorn and Jacob’s growing anger.
As tempers flare and passions deepen, they have to decide if their love is strong enough to shatter the cynicism and misconceptions of what it means to be each other’s fairy tale ending.
